This qualification builds knowledge and skills to assess learners/candidates who work and are learning Diploma (QCF) qualifications. No formal qualifications are required. Grossdale Institute provides online portfolio evidence and Assessors who will observe learners’ in their work environments.

This qualification is intended to build the knowledge and skills required for those who work with children and young people from birth to 19 years. It covers a diverse spectrum of job roles. The qualification is spilt into two main pathways; Social Care and Learning/Development Support Services. There are no formal entry requirements for this course. All learners should be at least 16 years’ old.

This qualification is tailored towards confirming occupational competence for identified roles in the health and social care sector in England. Learners can achieve specialist skills in the care of individuals in the areas of: learning disabilities and dementia as learning pathways. The qualification assesses learner’s competence within a range of settings in Health and Social Care.

The vocationally-related qualification is devised to improve individual management and leadership skills and competencies. The course places great emphasis on the personal development of the individual learner’s management capabilities and competencies, including providing all the key skills and competencies required to become an effective manager.
